The Department of Mechanical Engineering started with the inception of the college in 1963. The department offers Undergraduate, Post graduate and Research Programs. It has well equipped Laboratories with state-of-art equipments.
The students excel in academics under the constant guidance of highly qualified, experienced and dedicated staff. The graduating students are well placed in industry as well as in academia mainly through the campus placements and also by direct recruitments.
The Faculty members of the Department have presented and published many research papers at the National, International and reputed International Journals & Conferences. A few of the faculty are on the editorial boards of some reputed technical journals and some are associated with journals as ‘Reviewers”. The Department has produced 20 PhD’s. Another 15 faculty are persuing PhD degree.
The Department is ‘Government-Aided’ and is accredited by NBA of AICTE.
